Back to Open Mic!

It was back to open mic at Grace Cafe Friday. The PB&J Band did our usual set of Pink Floyd’s Childhood’s End, Time, and Rival Sons “Somebody (Open my Eyes). I think Childhood’s End is going to get the boot in favor of a new song next month. It’s a good song, but it’s one you really need to rehearse to have it sound right. Rehearsal is a luxury for us ever since Bob moved out of state. (we weren’t much on rehearsal before he move to be honest.) The Best Laid Plans…

My friends Bob, Phyllis and I colluded to do two Floyd songs… Time and Any Colour You Like. I’d practiced them at home, I was even prepared to sing the Richard Wright vocal parts to Time. That was the plan. Unlike doing your own gig, this open mic venue supplies the keyboard, all set up to use.
